The Iowa State Patrol unveiled nine new drones that it will deploy across the state. The drones will be used for investigations, such as during crash and crime scenes to take measurements and photographs, KWWL reported.

The drones are DJI Mavic 2 Pros and take photos from several different angles that are then stitched together into a big 3-D scale model of a crash, according to WCF Courier. Aerial photographs are expected to minimize the time traffic is held up at crash scenes.
