Ford has announced pricing for the new Police Interceptor Utility hybrid vehicle. MSRP for the 2020 model-year is $40,615. For those who prefer the gasoline version of the vehicle, the hybrid delete option provides an MSRP credit of $3,530. Actual transaction prices will be determined by competitive bidding processes.

The all-new Police Interceptor Utility comes standard with a hybrid AWD powertrain, and it is estimated to get 24 mpg combined. Ford estimates that agencies can save 933 gallons of fuel per year, per vehicle with the hybrid powertrain in comparison to the 3.7L AWD gasoline version, due to significant reduction in engine idle time and a 41% mpg improvement. At $2.75 per gallon, that adds up to over $3,500 per year in fuel savings, per vehicle.

The new vehicle comes with no trade-offs in passenger space, cargo space, and safety measures, according to Ford. It also comes standard with Ford Telematics with complimentary two-year subscription and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

Ford opened the order bank in June.
