The Lakeland (Fla.) Police Department has suspended all nine members of its entire K-9 unit after officers were caught speeding.

According to FOX 13, the officers’ marked vehicles were seen driving at over 100 mph on an interstate highway and almost 85 mph on side streets on the drive back from the U.S. Police Canine Association Regional Field Trials.

During the internal investigation, five officers admitted to filling up the memory cards on their in-car camera systems in advance to prevent the system from recording while they traveled to and from the event, reports The Ledger.

In addition to suspension, each officer was ordered to receive training on the in-car camera system and the dangers of speeding, reports Fox 13. Any merit increases will be denied for one year and no officers will be eligible for promotions for one year.
