The Alameda County Sheriff's Department shut down an illegal casino with help from a drone. When officers arrived at the scene, they found slot machines in a truck at a home in San Leandro, according to KRON 4.

Fourteen people were arrested. One of the suspects fled the scene, but sheriffs were able to follow the suspect with their drone and capture him, according to the department's Twitter.

Sgt. Ray Kelly told KRON 4 that, before adopting drones, the department would use helicopters for high-risk operations like this. Using a drone continues to keep deputies safe with an aerial view while saving taxpayers thousands of dollars.
