Paul Hanson, CAFM, director of Fleet and Surplus Services for the Minnesota Dept. of Administration, announced he will retire from his position. Hanson oversees 1,800 vehicles and was in charge of the sale of 5,049 lots of properly through the state auction program in 2014. His last day is Dec. 1.
The state has posted the opening for the fleet director position online, emphasizing future projects regarding environmentally friendly vehicles, rolling out a new business plan, and implementation of telematics. The close date is Dec. 4.
Hanson has worked at the Minnesota fleet since 2012. Previously, he was the fleet director for the North Dakota Dept. of Transportation.
After his retirement, Hanson will work in truck equipment sales at Custom Truck Equipment in Sioux Falls, S.D.
