South Carolina State University's former fleet director is claiming he was demoted and later fired because he didn't get the president a black Chrysler 300 and a luxury golf cart, reports WACH.

Thomas Elzey, who was fired earlier this month, is facing a lawsuit from Derrick Green, the former fleet management director, and Linda Elmore, the former office manager, over the matter. In his claim, Green says Elzey told him he would be fired if he didn't provide the vehicle.

Green and Elmore claim they told Elzey they couldn't provide the vehicle due to a state law prohibiting luxury vehicles. Elzey was assigned a Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Impala.
