The Berrien County, Michigan, Sheriff's Office recently purchased a new Autel EVO II Dual unmanned drone after receiving monetary donations from several local businesses.

The drone, which features a high-resolution thermal camera, is able to collect and provide two image sets at once with the use of both thermal and visible imagery.

This will be the second drone purchased by the Sheriff’s Office. So far, the technology has helped apprehend seven individuals, locate missing persons, and collect evidence at traffic crashes and crime scenes.
