The Mazda CX-9 is a mid-size crossover SUV with three rows of seating for 7 passengers. The CX-9 is powered by a new four-cylinder 2.5L direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The agreement means that this safety technology will become widely available on passenger cars and Class 1-2 trucks without a protracted regulatory process.
