SAN ANTONIO, TX - Bob Stanton, CPM, CPFP, has been named assistant director of the Building & Equipment Services Division for the City of San Antonio, effective Sept. 10. Stanton will manage the City’s fleet of 4,700 vehicles and approximately 200 employees. Previously, Stanton was director of fleet management for Hillsborough County, Fla., where he managed a fleet of approximately 3,500 units.

Stanton assumed the position for Hillsborough County on May 16, 2011. Named the interim director of fleet management for Hillsborough County is Ernie Hutman, who was previously the County’s fleet operations manager. As interim director, Hutman’s responsibilities will be maintenance, acquisitions, fuel, and other fleet management services.

Prior to joining Hillsborough County, Stanton was the long-time director of fleet management for Polk County, Fla., where he managed a fleet of 2,656 units. He held this position from 1992-2011. Earlier, Stanton worked in fleet management in the private sector for UPS Truck Leasing and PepsiCo.
