Joe Lane will lead GovPlanet's government sales team.
As Ritchie Bros. continues to grow its presence in the state and local government sector, it has introduced a new role to the company: director of state and local government sales. To fill this new position, Ritchie Bros. has hired Joe Lane, an experienced sales leader in the state and local government sector with significant experience supporting government sellers with remarketing and investment recovery solutions.
“Joe brings a significant amount of experience to our GovPlanet team,” said Conner Humphrey, vice president of government services for Ritchie Bros. “In this newly-created director role, Joe will work closely with our GovPlanet and U.S. sales teams to coordinate growth in the state and local sector. Joe will also have government sales representatives reporting directly to him. These new GSRs will work to develop strong relationships with state and local sectors in specific regions.”
Two of Lane’s first government sales representative hires are Joe Smith, who will be based in the metro New York City area; and Mike Williams, who will be based in the metro Dallas/Fort Worth area. Both Joe and Mike bring decades of experience with them to their new roles.
