The Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) opens today in San Diego with a packed show floor and a record-breaking number of public fleets expected to attend. The event, which runs through Thursday, takes place at the San Diego Convention Center.
The day starts at 9 a.m. with several pre-session activities, including first timer’s orientation that will allow those attending the first time to meet their peers and plan their days at the conference. Another new event is the Block Party and Experience, which includes ride-and-drives, hands-on training, vehicle displays, and demos in a fun outdoor setting. The Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association also returns this year with educational sessions.
Later in the day, Craig Croner from the City of Boise, Idaho, will officially kick off GFX with the opening keynote presentation, followed by the opening networking reception.
Educational sessions and the exhibit hall open on Tuesday. The full schedule is available on the GFX website, and attendees can download the conference app on both iPhone and Android smartphones.
