Federal Fleet Manager Pleads Guilty to Theft
A former U.S. Forest Service assistant fleet manager has pleaded guilty to a charge of theft relating to rigging a surplus auction and inappropriately using a fuel card.

A former U.S. Forest Service assistant fleet manager has pleaded guilty to one count of theft of government money, a charge with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, the Standard-Examiner reported.
Robert Joseph Alexander worked at an office in Utah. He was accused of rigging a surplus auction so his girlfriend could buy an “inoperable” 2012 Dodge Ram for $6,900, a vehicle actually worth three times as much. He then used his GSA-issued fuel card to pay a dealership more than $1,600 to repair the truck, the newspaper reported.
