Battersby Named Director of Fleet Services at UC Davis
DAVIS, CA - Richard Battersby has been appointed director of Fleet Services for the University of California, Davis.

DAVIS, CA - Richard Battersby has been appointed director of Fleet Services for the University of California, Davis.
Battersby succeeds Bob Summersett, former director of Fleet Services, who has retired November 2008. The UC Davis Fleet Services manages approximately 800 cars, trucks, buses, vans, and specialized vehicles, including 300 trailers, more than 85 carts, and 70 boats.
Prior to joining UC Davis, Battersby was fleet manager for the General Service Department of Contra Costa County in Martinez, Calif.
In retirement, Summersett says he plans to become more involved with his 10-year old custom bike building business, (www.summersettbikes.com), in addition to getting his certification for off-shore sailing.
