A City of Norman, Okla., fleet supervisor has been charged with embezzlement for allegedly making $1,380 in unauthorized purchases using city funds, The Norman Transcript reported.

Melvin Gore is listed on the city website as the fleet division's capital equipment support supervisor.

Gore allegedly bought rifle tools from a law enforcement supply vendor, clothing, and other unauthorized items. Some were found in his office and storage building. He has been placed on paid administrative leave.
