Walker Blocker has created a side guard to fit all truck body types. They are modular in nature and come in standard and custom kits to fit almost every truck body type. Walker Blocker is under Allied Body Works Inc., and understands the end user. Therefore, the design makes it easy to upfit vehicles. Side guards are needed on Class 3 vehicles and above.
Truck Side Guards are a vehicle-based safety device designed to keep pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists from being run over by the rear tires of a larger truck. Walker Side Guards were designed to block and deflect, preventing deadly road crashes.
Standard and matching extension kit sizes are available ensuring the Walker Truck Guard fits any truck type and size.
Most cities that are a part of the Vision Zero Network are beginning the process of up fitting and requiring side guards on their own fleets as well as businesses contracted with their city. We are coming to all cities and hope it doesn’t take a tragic death for a city to require side guards.
Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. are among the first locations that have mandated side guards be installed on their city vehicles.
