Empire Clean Cities has scheduled its annual stakeholder meeting for May 12 in the Queens neighborhood of Corona.

The ECC Annual Stakeholder Meeting brings together industry leaders to discuss topics and issues relevant to emissions reduction and fuel efficiency. This year's theme is "emerging petroleum alternatives and fuel technologies." Speaking topics include alternative fuel vehicle funding opportunities, recycling of electric vehicle batteries, and bio-based products.

The event offers fleet managers a networking breakfast and lineup of speakers. Attendees can connect with public and private entities, technology developers, and researchers to learn about the latest energy and alternative fuel technologies.

Following the meeting ECC will announce the newest certified Empire Green Fleets, and then join the New York City Parks and Recreation Fleet Show at the Unisphere. The NYC Parks Fleet Show highlights vehicles and equipment with alternative fuels and emissions reducing technologies. They also showcase the latest in light and heavy-duty services, and more.

The meeting will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. in the Queens Theatre's Cabaret Room. The theater is at 14 United Nations Ave S. For more information on the meeting, e-mail info@empirecleancities.org. To register, click here.
