Q. How often does the product update? Can it be updated more frequently if needed?
A. Yes, the software updates its data every 120 seconds. If it is crucial that you update more...
A. Passive GPS tracking doesn't track a vehicle in near real time. Instead, it stores information, which is then downloaded once the vehicle has been returned to the office. Active GPS tracking, on the other hand, transmits data allowing for near real-time tracking. Passive GPS tracking only allows for the identification of problems after the fact, and is not helpful if the vehicle is lost or stolen. Active GPS tracking has near real-time alert functions that send notifications to identify fuel-wasting behavior, including excessive idling, harsh driving and even after-hours activity. Since it transmits the location of the vehicle in near real time, its location can be pinpointed if it's lost or stolen. Passive GPS tracking also requires staff time to download the data, whereas Active GPS tracking requires no additional staff time to deal with the mundane task of downloading stored data.
