Fleet FAQ? Public Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Q. How does the system know if you are an unauthorized driver?

A. With Verizon Connect, gone are the days of a mobile worker being told to pick up a key for any available vehicle and go to work without any visibility. Now, each driver is issued a unique key fob that is required for each assignment. This means that only the driver with this fleet-issued fob can operate the vehicle.

This level of individualization brings with it an increased level of accountability and opportunities to provide training for a mobile worker whose driving behaviors need improvement.
