The Commonwealth of Massachusetts plans to study the feasibility of incorporating more electric vehicles into its fleet, in addition to measures to increase zero-emission vehicle use within the commonwealth.

CARB Certifies Landi Renzo's CNG E-450

The California Air Resource Board (CARB) has certified Landi Renzo to produce a dedicated compressed natural gas (CNG) version of the 2017 model year Ford E-450 cutaway van, which now makes it legal to convert the vehicle to CNG in the U.S.

Va. City Launches Motor Pool

The City of Norfolk, Va., has launched a motor pool to reduce fuel consumption and create a "culture of sharing" within the city. The city plans to eliminate older, underutilized vehicles and turn over the remaining vehicles to its new motor pool.

VW Reaches $1B Settlement for 3.0L Diesels

Volkswagen has reached an agreement to settle claims relating to its 3.0L V-6 TDI engines with a commitment to buy back a quarter of the vehicles, set aside $225 million toward emissions reduction, and pay $25 million to support the use of zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) in California.
