Jefferson City Council (Mo.) is considering an agreement to replace all seven of its frontline trucks for $5 million. The fire department’s current fleet of two ladder trucks, two rescue engines, and three pumper trucks are all overdue for replacement, reports ABC 17.

A committee of firefighters has spent the past year researching fire truck manufacturers to find the best vehicles and features for the city's use. If the agreement is approved, the city would make lease-purchase payments over the next 11 years.
