San Francisco Tests New Plug-In Hybrids

Two Toyota Prius plug-in hybrids will operate as part of the San Francisco City fleet in order to demonstrate the viability of plug-in hybrid technology.

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom announced August 25 a partnership between the City and Toyota to pilot the company’s Prius plug-in hybrid demonstration program vehicles.

SANBAG and Ryder Begin Natural Gas Truck Rental and Leasing Project

MIAMI - San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) has entered into an agreement with commercial transportation and logistics provider Ryder System, Inc., and other project partners, to implement a heavy-duty natural gas truck rental and leasing project in Southern California locations.

City of Riverside Receives Electric Trucks

RIVERSIDE, CA - Alvarez ZAP, electric vehicle provider ZAP’s newest dealer in Riverside, Calif., delivered a shipment of six electric trucks to the City of Riverside during a grand opening press conference last week.

Culver City Adds First CNG Paratransit Buses

CULVER CITY, CA - The City of Culver City has taken delivery of its first dedicated Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered paratransit buses. The three new buses operate on clean-burning natural gas to further compliment the City’s growing fleet and dedication to CNG-powered vehicles. They replace three ten-year-old gasoline-powered buses.
