Doosan Construction Equipment’s DX140LCR-5 reduced-tail-swing crawler excavator offers a shorter tail swing, allowing operators greater flexibility where space is a premium.

The excavator delivers 113 hp and has an operating weight of 34,987 lbs., maximum digging reach of 27 feet, 11 inches; maximum digging depth of 19 feet, 7 inches; maximum loading height of 23 feet, 2 inches; and bucket digging force of 24,471 lb.-ft.

It comes with four power modes — Power+, Power, Standard, and Economy — and four work modes — Dig, Lift, Breaker, and Sheer.

The excavator is designed for long life with an extra-sturdy frame and reinforced superstructure. It comes standard with permanently sealed and lubricated track links, and the workgroup bushings and hard-wear disks are designed for reliability as well as extended service intervals to increase uptime.

To help save diesel fuel, auto shutdown is standard. Operators can configure the idle time from three to 60 minutes. When enabled, the feature will shut down the excavator’s engine when the preset idle time is met. This is particularly helpful in California where state regulations require idling for only five minutes for off-highway machines.
