The John Deere 710L is part of the L-series of backhoe loaders. The 710L's 17-foot-3-inch dig depth is the largest in the John Deere portfolio, making it ideal for loading trucks, placing pipe, digging trenches, breaking up concrete or asphalt, and moving materials.

Its EPA Final Tier 4 4.5L John Deere PowerTech Plus engine provides 148hp/110kW, 13% more net peak horsepower than the previous K-series model. John Deere powershift transmission also enables operators to travel up to 23 mph between job sites.

Inside the cab, the 710L offers additional legroom and a more comfortable seat than the K-series model. It also features redesigned pilot towers with fingertip electrohydraulic controls, multifunction lever on the steering column to control turn signals, wipers, and lights, and state-of-the-art language monitor. Additional features include heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system, a new lighting scheme, and time-specific functions such as auto shutdown and auto idle.

The 710L's economy mode saves fuel. Engine rpm is limited in both loader and backhoe operations. A variable-speed electronically controlled fan automatically speeds up or slows down, operating only as needed to keep things cool, helping conserve power and fuel while reducing noise.

Maintenance is easier with same-side ground-level service points to help speed up daily checks. Other common-sense features on the 710L include extended service intervals, simple-to-read sight gauges, and easy-access grease points to help increase uptime and lower daily operating costs.
