LAREDO, TEXAS - The City of Laredo is moving some of its offices, including Fleet Services, to a new location -- a former Dodge dealership. According to Horacio De Leon, assistant city manager, Fleet moved into its new facility on Labor Day weekend and has been operational for more than a month now.

Because the location is in a former dealership, some necessary shop equipment is already in place, he said. These include maintenance bays, wash bays, and some tools. The dealership had only been operational for six months, which means equipment is still fairly new, he added.

Total project cost of the entire City Hall Annex Buidling, which houses other departments as well, was $10 million. De Leon said the value of the 8.5-acre area is closer to $15 million.
