FERNANDINA BEACH, FL - Fernandina Beach city commissioners recently decided again to table a resolution to add a cell-phone use policy for city vehicles because the amendment wording wasn't strict enough, according to the News-Leader.

The cell phone section of the policy states, "the use of handheld cell phones ... while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle being used on city business is discouraged."

One commissioner objected, stating that wording should only allow cell phone use while driving only in extreme emergencies. However, City Manager Michael Czymbor stated the policy must be reasonable for everyone, including emergency services.
