WAYNE, PA - AssetWorks, a provider of fleet Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and Automated Fuel Systems, announced it has signed a contract and commenced implementation services with the City of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Baton Rouge is one of the hundred largest cities in the United States with more than three-quarters of a million residents in the greater area. The City of Baton Rouge manages a fleet of 2,300 vehicles that are maintained by 25 technicians.

Baton Rouge sought a solution that offered the latest technology in an easy to use format that would work well on their shop floor. They selected the browser-based version of FleetFocus based on AssetWorks' proven experience with large scale city implementations and the strong regional user community which includes the City of Dallas, City of Houston, City of Austin, Oklahoma City, The State of Oklahoma and Mississippi Power. With the help of the FleetFocus software solution, The City of Baton Rouge intends to move to a paperless shop.

"We have used AssetWorks products since the early 80s. The browser-based version of FleetFocus uses much of the same terminology as our previous version. Because our staff is very familiar with this terminology it will be easier for them to move to this new system. AssetWorks is familiar with our current data and we are confident that they will migrate this data accurately and smoothly," stated Leo Bossier, Assistant Public Works Director.

FleetFocus tracks all functions related to the maintenance of equipment, including processing repair and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, tracking operating expenses (e.g., fuel, oil, and licensing), and tracking and billing for equipment usage. FleetFocus also supports, shop scheduling, replacement analysis, and equipment and replacement planning. With FleetFocus, organizations can reduce maintenance expenditures and inventory expenses, while simultaneously improving productivity, efficiency, and asset utilization.

"We are pleased to add the City of Baton Rouge to our customer community and look forward to working closely with them to help drive new efficiencies and operational savings in their fleet management," said James Schnepp, Vice President of Sales, AssetWorks.
