Ford Presents Escape Hybrid Taxi Case Study to City of Miami

MIAMI, FL – On Aug. 17, Ford Motor Co. presented a case study highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of Escape Hybrid taxis to Miami, Fla., its Mayor, and government and commercial fleet representatives, according to the Web site www.tradingmarkets.com

Cities across the country are successfully turning to hybrid-electric vehicles to meet their clean air goals and reduce fuel costs, from taxicabs to municipal fleet vehicles. Miami Mayor Diaz has made one of the most significant commitments to hybrids in the United States to date, including a commitment to add 1,000 hybrid-electric vehicles to the City of Miami fleets by 2012.
