Hybrids Replace SUVs and Sedans as Vehicles for Arkansas Government Officials

February 8, 2005

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Many central Arkansas government officials are replacing their sedans and SUVs for hybrids, according to the Associated Press.

North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Hays replaced his Ford Crown Victoria with a Honda Civic Hybrid. A Pulaski County judge traded in his 13-mpg Dodge Durango for a hybrid. A stipulation from the county states that new vehicle purchases be hybrids. North Little Rock will likely make hybrids part of its fleet, says Hays.
