CENTENNIAL, CO – A $50,000 grant from CompassCom, Sierra Wireless, and AT&T Wireless is being offered to any state, regional, or local government agency that plans to develop the most innovative Mobile Asset Tracking project. Project designs must demonstrate improved efficiencies in the management and coordination of vehicle fleets and other mobile assets using GPS and GIS technology. The winner will receive software, hardware, wireless data plans, and training from the three grant sponsors. Applicants must have existing basic GIS capabilities, a database on which the software will reside, and a CompassCom Mobile Asset Tracking-compatible server.
