The City of New Bedford, Mass., is replacing both of its antiquated "pumpers" with new fire trucks as part of a broad-ranging vehicle replacement plan.

EPA Proposes Reducing Ethanol Fuel Mix

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed reducing the amount of ethanol that's required to be blended with gasoline Friday for the first time since a 2007 law setting aggressive targets for the corn-based fuel.

Three roof-mounted arrays will serve the fleet storage, radio tower, and transportation facilities. One ground-mounted array will serve the communications center.

NAPA Deal to Reduce Ohio City's Parts Costs

The City of Wauwatosa, Wis., will take over the maintenance and repair of Wauwatosa School District’s 20 vans and trucks used by maintenance and utility workers.

The State of Pennsylvania awarded more than $3 million in alternative-fuel grants to 33 organizations for the conversion or purchase of 351 natural gas vehicles and 337 propane vehicles.
