Kan. Public Works Director Denies County Repaired Truck

April 30, 2014

The public works director for Shawnee County, Kan., has denied claims that county mechanics worked on his personal pickup truck.

Several local media outlets had received a letter signed by "upset employees along with family members and friends" that Tom Vlach had his truck worked on March 12 in the county garage.

Vlach told WIBW that he only took his truck in for advice. A submitted photo shows what letter writers said was his truck on a lift.
