The State of Rhode Island is hiring a fleet administrator to oversee the state fleet program within its Department of Administration.

The administrator is responsible for overall planning, coordination, administration, and implementation of the fleet. The administrator is tasked with developing and administering a statewide purchase, maintenance, and repair program; overseeing allocation and distribution of vehicles to state agencies; and developing, interpreting, and enforcing rules and policies for use and safe operation of vehicles, among other responsibilities.

The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in general management, operational management, or a closely related field as well as experience managing a large, diverse fleet. The salary range is $84,000 to $95,200.
