GM has announced that a newly redesigned Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo-diesel will be offered on the 2017 Silverado HD and Sierra HD. The engine features a new air intake system and an enhanced oiling circuit.
The diesel-powered Chevrolet Silverado HD will add an improved air intake system for the 2017 model year that pushes cool, dry air through a hood scoop.
Fleets will be able to acquire a 2014-2016 model year Chevrolet Silverado with a new camera system for trailering and a fifth-wheel prep package.
The recall covers 2015-2016 model-year Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles in the U.S. and Canada.
