2016 Detroit Auto Show in Pictures

Assembling Ford's Transit Van

Ford produces 58 configurations of its full-size Transit van at the Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP) in Claycomo, Mo. Ford invested $1.1 billion and added 2,000 jobs to support van production and increased demand for the aluminum-body F-150 that's also built at the plant. Read the full story here. Knapheide's SubTropolis Upfit Facility

Truck and van upfitter Knapheide installs equipment in Transit vans at its underground SubTropolis upfitting facility that's part of an active limestone mine outside of Kansas City near Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant.
