Spectro Scientific’s CoolCheck 2 Coolant Analyzer is designed to automatically test the health of coolant systems and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).

The CoolCheck 2 is a touchscreen analyzer that uses broadband spectrometry to test coolant parameters in under a minute, according to Spectro. The system is programmed to compare data to known coolant system conditions to grade results as normal, abnormal or severe with color-coded alarms.

The CoolCheck 2 generates a printed report to identify the type of coolant used, clarity, color, contamination level, nitrite level, boil and freeze points, and percent of glycol. The analyzer also measures the urea level in DEF.

The analysis it generates allows a service technician to make a more informed decision on the health of coolant and DEF. It also makes maintenance recommendations for a vehicle in the shop. Test data can be printed or wirelessly transmitted to Spectro’s LubeTrak data management and storage software.

The CoolCheck 2 requires no installation, training or maintenance to use and is suitable for fluid analysis by fleet owners and service providers.
