The City of El Paso’s mass transit agency, Sun Metro, has awarded Stertil-Koni a contract for 18 high-capacity, heavy-duty vehicle lifts. The lifts are scheduled to be installed during the first half of 2013.

The contract specifies that Sun Metro will be purchasing two of the company’s Ecolift model, a two-scissor configuration with lifting capacity of 60,000 lbs. (for example for regular transit buses) and a three-scissor configuration with lifting capacity of 90,000 lbs. (which is designed for the extended length of articulated buses) and two of the company’s Skylift models, each of which has a lifting capacity of 78,000 lbs. One of Skylift models is for a wash bay. These are in addition to other lift models.
