NAPERVILLE, IL – In early October the City of Naperville selected Dick Dublinski as its new public works director, according to a press statement from the City. Dublinski will be responsible for overseeing a number of key areas, one of which includes fleet services. Other services include street and storm water maintenance, forestry, contracted refuse and recycling collection, and household hazardous waste recovery.

“We had an outstanding slate of internal candidates, but Dick was ultimately the best fit for this critical position,” City Manager Doug Krieger said. “The leadership Dick displayed as development services team leader has prepared him for the exciting new challenges he will face as our public works director. I am confident his hands-on, down to earth approach will serve our residents and business community well in this capacity.”

Dublinski served as the City’s development services team leader since 1998, according to the City. Prior to joining the City in 1998, the City’s statement said Dublinksi spent many years as a builder in Naperville. He worked with different construction firms as a project engineer. Dublinski received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah in 1985.
