WASHINGTON – Clean Cities Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles data Center (AFDC) now offers new resources for fleet managers who are interested in using natural gas in refuse haulers or in buses.

The new resource is called the Vehicle and Infrastructure Cash-Flow Evaluation (VICE) Model. It allows users to enter specific data into an Excel spreadsheet to determine whether the costs work out for their respective operations.

In addition, Clean Cities has a PDF called “Business Case for Compressed Natural Gas in Municipal Fleets” available for download. It provides a description of the VICE model, required data inputs, and the model’s default assumptions.
