MOBILE, AL – The City of Mobile’s city council approved a contract with Blossman Gas to enable a number of gasoline-fueled vehicles in the City’s fleet to run on propane. According to city council meeting documents, the cost is $213,000 to convert vehicle fueling systems to bi-fuel versions.

According to a news story on LagniappeMobile.com, the money is from federal stimulus funding and will allow for the conversion of 25 Ford F-150s and five Crown Victorias. Propane currently costs between $2.20 and $2.30, according to the article.
