OXNARD, CA - Dan Berlenbach, fleet services manager for the City of Oxnard, has been appointed equipment maintenance superintendent for the City of Phoenix's Equipment Management Division. He will be replacing James Moody, who retired in 2010.

Responsibilities at the City of Phoenix include maintenance and repair of a 7,600-vehicle fleet with 17 facilities and 255 technicians. Today is Berlenbach's last day at Oxnard. His first day at Phoenix will be Monday, Jan. 10. Replacing Berlenbach as interim fleet services manager at Oxnard is Dean Yamamoto from the City's General Services Department.  

Berlenbach has been with the City of Oxnard since 2004, and prior to that was on active duty with the U.S. Air Force as vehicle maintenance manager and mechanic since 1975.

The City of Oxnard was named No. 4 in the 100 Best Fleets program in 2010.
