The City of Raleigh, N.C., is anticipated to become the latest addition to Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. (SRCO) Municipal Lease Program with the acquisition of a new fleet of police motorcycles, according to SRCO.

Sparta's Municipal Lease Program has increasingly becoming a source of financing for cities, towns, states, and counties that have a strong need to acquire a variety of essential equipment. The Sparta program allows governmental agencies to lease, rather than purchase that equipment, and thereby extend the payments over a number of years. The program provides a more cost-effective opportunity for municipalities to get the necessary equipment they need.

In addition to police motorcycles, the program can accommodate nearly every type of asset class, including surveillance equipment, fire and emergency equipment, police cruisers, tactical and utility vehicles, and any other type of equipment considered essential by local or state agencies, according to SRCO.
