CHEYENNE, WY - To help make up for a projected $3.3 million state funding shortfall, the city has reduced its workforce, according to the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle.

Fleet maintenance is down five of its nine mechanics and the police department is down four patrol officers, reported the Tribune-Eagle.

Layoffs in the departments of public works, parks and recreation, city clerk, engineering and police are expected to save the city $907,516 in wages and benefits during the next budget year.
