NORWALK, CT - Several Arizona, New York, and Canadian government agencies have added WebTech Wireless location-based services (LBS) to their fleets.

The first agency, Maricopa County, Arizona, has signed a contract worth $400,000 for the outfitting of 473 heavy and light-duty vehicles with WebTech Wireless' InterFleet remote fleet management hardware and software solution.

The second contract, worth $217,665, was signed by the City of Buffalo, which has purchased an Enterprise InterFleet solution for a number of its public works departments.

Also, the third contract is from the City of Welland, Ontario, was signed to provide WebTech Wireless for its NextBus real-time passenger information solution.

"These latest contracts clearly illustrate the ability of InterFleet to address the demands of municipalities facing very different operating challenges," said Owen Moore, chief operating officer at WebTech Wireless. "Maricopa, one of the country's hottest and driest counties, needed a solution that could meet the demands of numerous, growing departments, while Buffalo's immediate needs are focused on improving the efficiency of their fleets during the critical winter months."
