CHICAGO - The City of Chicago sent a notice of its intent to prohibit Central Auto Body Shop, the shop Fleet Commissioner Mike Picardi was recently suspended for doing business with, from doing any more city work, according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

Picardi was placed on a three-month suspension last week when Mayor Daley discovered more than $11 million had been awarded to the company for work on police cars and other city vehicles -- even after its owner pleaded guilty to ripping off the city, according to the Sun-Times.

The city sent the notice to John Szybkowski, owner of Central Auto Body Shop, which is the first step the city takes to bar a business, reported the Sun-Times.
