WHEATON, IL - DuPage County Forest Preserve hopes to gain at least $100,000 in vehicle replacement funds from its July 25 auction of surplus inventory, according to the Daily Herald.

The auction will feature 345 items, all of which are listed at the district's special auction Web site, dupageforestauction.com. Among the items are several retired forest preserve vehicles and about 10 other impounded vehicles awarded to the district All items are sold as-is, according to the district.

The district estimates more than $100,000 from sales of the items, which would all go back to its vehicle replacement fund. Last year's auction brought in more than $140,000, according to the Herald.
