BAY CITY, MI – Police have arrested a 37-year-old Bay County man who they say stole gasoline from a state vehicle, according to WLNS TV. A commuter pulling into a car pool lot off Interstate-75 in Bay City told officers the man was siphoning gasoline from a highway truck near a state Department of Transportation garage. Michigan State Police Troopers say they caught the man loading a can of gas into his van, which held five additional full cans of gas. They say another can was still being filled from the state truck. Police say the man admitted stealing the gas for a generator that provides power to his Bangor Township home.
