WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A woman who was arrested during a prostitution sting escaped from police custody after the officer left her alone in the police car with the keys inside, according to www.thewpbfchannel.com. Debra Camene was picked up on prostitution charges on South Dixie Highway.

Officer Bryan Williams was driving the woman when he was flagged down by a distressed motorist. When the officer got out of the car, he inadvertently left the keys in the patrol car, according to Dena Kimberlin of the West Palm Beach Police Department.

Camene was able to pull out of her handcuffed position, slip through the protective window, and take the car. She fled onto a dead-end street and couldn't turn around. She hid for two hours until police found her.
