GAITHERSBURG, MD – Mercury Associates, Inc. has added several senior fleet management professionals to the consulting firm. Rod Lohof joined the firm as a senior consultant on Sept. 1. Lohof brings more than 30 years of experience in the fleet industry, including fleet manager for the State of Oregon Department of Administrative Services. Gary Hatfield joined the firm as a senior manager, effective Oct. 1. He was a principal in Advanced Fleet Management Solutions of Bradenton, FL, whose assets Mercury also has acquired. Before beginning his consulting career, Hatfield spent 24 years in fleet management positions with Public Service Company of Colorado (now Exel Energy) and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Dr. Adlore Chaudier will join Mercury on Nov. 1 as a senior manager. He currently holds a senior management position in the U.S. General Services Administration, overseeing the re-engineering of lodging and travel expense reimbursement programs for federal agencies. Before joining GSA, Chaudier was vice president of government services for Runzheimer International, where he worked for 20 years. Mercury recently conducted fleet size and composition studies for the State of Alaska and a comprehensive review of fleet management and outsourcing practices for the State of Michigan. The consulting firm also provided an evaluation of fleet and facility capital improvement budgeting practices for the Virginia Department of Transportation, and fleet management and operations reviews for the cities of Seattle, Columbus, Ohio, and Durham, N.C. Mercury also has partnered recently with Runzheimer International of Rochester, Wis., to win several important contracts with the federal government, including three projects with the General Services Administration, two with NASA, and one with the U.S. Marine Corps.
