New Holland has produced compact track loaders for several years. But a few years ago company leaders began noticing that the larger 4,500-lb. rated operating capacity machines were a growing product in the North American market.

“This is our response to that trend, to develop a larger operating capacity machine,” said Ryan Anderson, New Holland compact track loader marketing specialist.
Anderson is referring to what New Holland describes as its “largest compact track loader yet,” the C245, and he said the higher horsepower of 90 for the machine is also in response to customer feedback.

Customer Feedback Brings Hydraulic Package, Interior Improvements

The machine’s enhanced high-flow hydraulic package is also in response to customer feedback.

“When you’re powering output attachments like cold planers, mulchers, brush cutters, and stump grinders, there’s a hydraulic-powered unit or pump and motor that goes to that, to draw power to that outside attachment,” Anderson said.

New Holland also designed the interior of the machine with operator comfort in mind. The company placed the machine’s buttons and control functions in front of the operator, with no controls hiding behind the operator or underneath the operator’s elbows or arms.

The company’s SuperBoom technology brings more lifting capacity and reach to the machine and also more operator visibility. Anderson noted that it helps operators work more safely in tighter environments and more easily see people or objects in the corners or rear of the machine.

Agencies using the machine also have the option of adding New Holland’s FleetForce telematics product, which provides information such as location and utilization of the machine.
