Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling an estimated 84,202 model-year 2019-2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups equipped with 6-speed automatic (68RFE) transmissions because a build up of pressure and heat inside the transmission may result in a transmission fluid leak from the dipstick tube.

With this scenario, the leaking fluid could potentially contact the turbocharger or another ignition source within the engine compartment, increasing the chance of a fire.

To remedy the matter, FCA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission valve body separator plate and reprogram the powertrain control module.

Owners can reach FCA customer service at (800) 853-1403.

The recall begins March 14. FCA's reference number for this recall is W03.
